Hi Everyone!
As many of you know, Chris Easter accepted a job at Aurum back in October. He went through the painful process of looking for a home for his family, the stress of moving miles away and getting settled in Colorado.
His goal was to transition into a move-in-ready home to begin his new career. That was far from the reality. As the move-in process began so did the unfathomable discoveries behind the walls, ceilings, and floors.
As he began some of the demo so did the discovery of black mold throughout the home, rotted pipes, issues that were covered up for years and so much more. The worst part about the situation is that the previous homeowner, contractor and real-estate agents are not liable in anyway.
His son will be starting at a new school in January and is currently sleeping on the floor in the office because it is unsafe to be in his room due to black mold. The Easter’s were not able to celebrate the holidays like many of us were because of the construction that needs to be done. At this point, they are all running on empty.
With the findings come many unforeseen cost for the family and construction that is required for the health and safety for him and his family. As Chris’s friend & coworker, I ask that you take a minute a help if you are in a position to do so. Truly, anything helps.
Finally, I ask you keep this a secrete as we will be surprising him with the donations from everyone at the end of the month.
