Chris & Misty Neeley’s trip to Mayo Clinic

As most of you know, Chris Neeley has been extremely sick for over 18 months.  His
illness has cost him & his family much
heartache, grief, and loss.  Because of severe cognitive impairment & his inability to
perform even menial tasks, Chris lost his job of 15 years at Eastman Chemical. Chris was a highly valued employee & lacked one
semester of college which would have moved him to a mechanical engineer position.  Instead, he was unable to return & received short
term disability, which now has gone to long
term disability.  They are paying $1600 for
insurance which takes a big chunk from his
pay.
 Misty has been able to add some additional
income with part time cleaning jobs. Mostly,
she has been involved with caregiving for
Chris.  
Chris suffers from severe migraine
headaches every day, memory loss, &
balance issues and has no quality of life. They have made numerous trips to Duke, but
doctors are still baffled and have been unableto help very minimally. The doctors originally diagnosed him with a stroke & he went 
through weeks of rehab where he learned to walk again & regained part of his memory.
Because of some of the testing, doctors now 
say he did not have a stroke and 
the insurance company is trying to cast Chris to the wayside.  If this happens, Chris, Misty, & Blake will lose their home.  This has been a tremendous amount of pressure to deal with as well as having to deal with the migraines,
cognition impairment, and struggling with 
seeing a loved one have to suffer so 
immensely.
But God has given them a miracle...the
opportunity to go to the best hospital in the
country.  We feel this is an answer to
countless & fervent prayers offered up by 
much of the family plus an abundance of 
friends who have prayed & encouraged them as well.  We would hope that you would be
much in prayer with us about this trip, for
safe travels, wisdom for the doctors, and the
funding which is much needed to make this
possible.
