Chloe’s unicorn journey

As many might be aware it has been a rough few months for our sweet, funny, goofy-ball, granddaughter Chloe. Since mid-July Chloe has spent a total of 14 days admitted to the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. To date she has undergone 2 lumbar punctures, 3 CT scans, 4 sedated MIRs, a cerebral angiogram, a PET Scan, and countless other labs and exams. All without a diagnosis of what is causing the lesions on her brain and spinal column. While the Children’s Hospital has been great and her healing team has been working diligently to find answers, they are at a loss. With a recommendation from a panel of doctors from across the country she is now being sent to the east coast to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders for further testing with the best neurological doctors in the country.

Her parents Courtney and Charlie have been by her side every step of this long and scary journey, and thankfully they have health insurance. However, during this time they have often been unable to work and have used up all the vacation time they have.

From the very beginning of this many of our extended family, tribes and community have asked how they can be of help. All of the offers of support are humbling and greatly appreciated, knowing they have such a loving and generous community behind them has been a great source of comfort to Courtney and Charlie. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

At this time in their healing journey, best gift you can offer them is a donation. I am asking for donations on their behalf off to help keep the Goss family afloat, relieving them of the financial burden that is hanging over their head. This will allow all of us focus to be on Chloe’s healing and wellbeing.
