Chloe’s Abseil For Volunteer Services NGH

Hellooooooo, my names Chloe... I've been a Volunteer for the Northampton General Hospital Volunteer Services for about a year now and LOVED every second.
During these challenging times Volunteers have been needed more than ever at the hospital. We've had the opportunity to create that vital link between patients and their relatives by setting up a Volunteer reception desk where patient property can be dropped off by relatives then Volunteers deliver it to whichever ward needed. Volunteers are also the people who organise video calls so patients and their loved ones can have that much needed contact throughout their stay in hospital which can be one of the scariest times for some people. Also Volunteers can be ward based, helping out with basic but important duties that can relieve stress from the Nurses and Doctors on the ward.
I'm so proud to be apart of this Volunteering team and even through our ups and downs during our time at the hospital it really is the most rewarding thing to take part in and I'm sure all my fellow Volunteers would agree!
So to raise some money for the amazing Volunteer Services on the 3rd July I'm going to be taking part in an abseil from the 418 ft Northampton Lift Tower.
I'm hoping to raise as much money as I can because these people truly deserve it. This money will go towards some much needed necessities for the Volunteer Services at the hospital and we are hoping to build a 'relaxation garden' for the Volunteers to take a break and a breather in on their lunch break or after work.
Any donation, no matter how small will make a big difference to the team of Volunteers. THANK YOU!
