Chloe will beat Cancer
Spende geschützt
A journey no parent wants to be on with their child.
Chloe had a bad pain in her rib on the 18th May 2015. We took her to A&E that evening as a lump was visible. A&E and 2 more trips to the GP all said Chloe was fine and maybe it was a cyst, they said they would refer her to a specialist. On the 2nd June we decided to see a private surgeon, he also said it was nothing sinister, and to leave it for couple of weeks and to do another ultrasound. On the 23rd June, the ultrasound was repeated and our lives were turned upside down, in tears, we where told we would be seen by oncology in Great Ormond Street.
On the 7th July they confirmed our worst fears Chloe had Ewing's sarcoma - a rare childhood cancer!
The were two tumour's visible on Chloe's rib and it had spread into her lungs.
We were devastated and we couldn't focus on a word the oncologist was saying - prognosis!!
Chloe is currently having chemotheraphy and will go through surgery in November, where they will take away 3 ribs and then a decision will be made to see if she will have proton radiotherapy in America.
Either way she will also have to go through two weeks of radiotherapy over her whole lungs, which has devastated us because of the long term side effects.
Chloe has amazed us throughout with her strong determined character.
If you can support Chloe and her parents through fundraising or donations this will be hugely appreciated.
Many thanks on behalf of Chloe and her parents. Xxxx
