Children Peace Initiative Kenya needs your help! We need to raise $20,000 to educate and positively impact more than 300 children who are at risk of being orphaned, losing an opportunity to go to school or losing their lives to violent conflict. All funds raised will go toward providing school education, peacebuilding training for parents, teachers and caregivers throughout the year.
CPI Kenya needs to raise $20,000 by June 30th, 2020, in order to provide our:
* bi-annual peace education youth camps for more than 300 kids,
* bi-annual after-school peace programs, and
* impactful "family pairing" program four times during the year which allows families to build sustainable relationships across differences, among other programming.
Children Peace Initiative Kenya (CPI Kenya )'s mission has been to plant seeds of peace for children by safeguarding the future through working with children affected by violent conflict in Northern Kenya. We believe that, by empowering kids with peace values, they become peacebuilders and bridges connecting communities separated by tribal conflict.
By offering children a platform to experience each other through youth-oriented community and peacebuilding as well as leadership training activities, they have a powerful chance to build confidence, cultivate collaboration and inter-tribal friendship, breaking cycles of prejudice and violence.
Can you imagine a future where children grow without fear of violence and learn in peace, inspired and driven by values of diversity, integrity, accountability, and advocacy, with deep respect for differences? With your help, we can not only imagine it, but create it!
Our deadline to raise $20,000 is June 30th, 2020. We appreciate every dollar and your donations are deeply appreciated here on GoFundMe. Please share with friends, colleagues and family!
