Aid for Children in Kenya & Ghana
Donation protected
The following information is about my previous trip to Ghana (October-December 2017). I will soon be going to Kenya, and back to Ghana (Feb-May 2018). Click the "Updates" button for more information!!
Hi!! As many of you know, I am spending two months in Ghana, West Africa. I am volunteering in a school in Frankadua, which is a small village in the Eastern Volta region. The students are amazing!!! They are all so curious and happy and eager to learn! I've quickly discovered how limited the resources are here. Many children do not have pencils, paper or books, and classrooms only have a chalkboard to use for teaching. Sadly, many families cannot afford the yearly school fees, which are 24-29cedi (that's $6-$8!).
I am raising money to help pay for student fees, as well as to purchase art supplies to create visuals for the classrooms. I will personally buy the supplies and am organizing a time with the headmaster to teach the teachers how to create posters as learning tools. In addition, I will pay student fees directly to the school for those children who cannot afford to pay. Please consider giving! Your $6 donation will fund a child's education for a whole year!!
Thank you.
Also, if you have any questions, please feel free to email me at [email redacted]. My wireless service isn't very good here, but I will respond as soon as I am able!!
