Namaste, I am Namrata Shrestha, Miss Nepal World 2020.  Past 26 years The Hidden Treasure has been organizing Miss Nepal Pageant, the winners are sent to represent Nepal in top major International pageants of the world. One of the most coveted and followed pageant in our country is Miss World Pageant. Nepal has represented well and has achieved significant placing past couple of years. The recent visit of Miss World 2019 and Ms. Julia Morley the Chairperson of Miss World also proves Nepal being a Nation to look out at coming Miss World Pageant.

I am going to represent Nepal at the 70th edition of the competition that is going to be held in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico on 16th December 2021. Beauty with a purpose is a heart of the pageant and the winner secures a fast track to the top 12 spot in the pageant.

The need for the bridge seems to be alarming for the villagers because there have been incidents of people and cattle being perished in the river. People have been waiting for a very long time to find a solution that would save their time in getting to the other bank of the river and more so saving their life from being taken away by the overflowing Thopal river in rainy season. The villagers had to either cross the river by swimming in the cold water or by travelling the entire Dhading besi taking 2 and a half hour of their day. There are few children who need the bridge to reach school.

The majority of population that is struggling is the women who have to cross the river on an everyday basis to collect fodders and for animal grazing. The villagers' major occupation in Nilkantha, is livestock farming and agriculture. Some of the villagers have their land on the other side of the river and they have to cross the river for agricultural purpose. There have been incidents where the entire collected fodders have been swayed away by the river and sometimes the animals as well. There has been news of people getting swayed away by the river. 3 people have lost their lives because of the overflow of the river in rainy season. Many people had to cross the river every single day as they would have their job on the other side of the river bank.

From the socio-cultural aspect, many people would get their daughters married in the other village which made it difficult for them to visit their houses during festivals. This showed hindrance in maintaining social relations among people.
