Cheltenham Future Rotary Club Projects

Help support the creation of Cornerstone Community Jubilee Garden - Whaddon, Cheltenham and other charities supported by Cheltenham Future Rotary Club.

Our aim is to improve life for people in Cheltenham.

This project is to create a community garden in Whaddon Road alongside the Cornerstone Community Centre. This will enhance the area by converting two grass areas into a garden which will include raised beds for the growth of produce, trees and plants for use by several community groups.

The garden will be environmentally friendly, improve air quality and provide a quiet green space to improve mental health. It will provide a quiet green space for local people of all generations and cultures to come together, collaborate to pass on skills, grow their own produce and develop relationships. Fruit, vegetables and herbs grown in the garden will be supplied to the existing food pantry at the Cornerstone Centre. Each different raised bed area will be maintained by a different local group and all beds will be wheelchair accessible.

To develop this project we need to raise around £14,000 – some of this will come from other charitable organisations and Cheltenham Borough Council but we will still need to raise around £5000 from businesses and individuals from donations and sponsorship.
