Chase for Jace

Jace was given to Steve & Miriam Lengacher to care for as a baby when his mom was in prison. When his mom didn't come back for him until after he turned 2 they were already attached to the little boy, but having no choice sent him on his way. After a few months the mom didn't take care of him and the grandparents begged Steve's to take him back. 

Afraid they would go through this pain again they had some things put in place but mostly they banked on the grandparents word, who said they will never put Jace through that again. Over 3 years went by before they tried to take him back. There were no gifts or letters asking about her son over that period. Upon showing up at their doorstep the law sent her home, without Jace. 

She got a lawyer...
Two hearings went by with the Judge siding with the Lengachers but in the third hearing the Judge changed his tune and ignored Steve's lawyer and gave the mom full custody of Jace...6 & 1/2 years old and torn from the only family he knew. There was no warning, no preparation. They got home from the hearing at 5pm and had to wake up Jace from a nap, since he went to kindergarten that day,  to tell him he was being sent home in an hour with a new family, it was heart breaking to say the least. He was saying he doesn't want to go and grabbing for the door on his way out. 

The Lengachers have a great lawyer and are doing all they can to bring Jace home. They never asked for a dime, I don't want them to even think about money as they continue to be the voice for Jace. That is why this page is set up for donations. All the money will be used for their legal fees and if there's any extra I'll ask them to set it aside for the adoption or anything else concerning the legal aid of a child.
