Charlotte Humans for Positive Progress is an activist organization focused on creating and executing peaceful events and demonstrations.
Currently, we are looking to raise funds to create "Blessings Bags" that will be distributed to the Charlotte homeless population. Blessings Bags are typically a one-gallon size Ziploc bag that contains basic everyday items such as shampoo, soap, deodorant, feminine products, combs, granola bars, restaurant (such as Subway) gift cards, and other similar hygiene and food items. It is our goal to make and distribute 200 of these bags.
Finally, we are also a grassroots organization and are building and delivering upon our mission from the ground up. As such, we need your support as we work to get off the ground. Any financial donation that you may offer will help us provide resources to demonstrations and events that we organize on our community's behalf. We will only use donations to directly fund our mission so that we can put roots down, fundraise and grow, and become fully functional on an independent level. Additionally, as we will be withdrawing all money raised and managing it personally, we will make a record of all expenditures available to the public on our Facebook page (until a website is up) and also via email upon request. We expect to have a formal foundation set up in the coming weeks and will make details on this available to all who request it.
