Charlie Nelson needs life saving surgery

Hi, my name is Julie, and this is my sweet lab, Charlie Nelson. He is a super healthy 12-year-old lab recently diagnosed with Laryngeal Paralysis (Lar Par). The vets said to limit his exercise and his panting by keeping him cool. Since his diagnosis, he has been doing great! He had energy, was eating, and went for short walks. However, the past weekend out of nowhere, he had two horrible respiratory attacks. He was struggling to breathe and turning purple in my arms. Thankfully, he caught his breath, and now I have kept him calm and on sedatives from the vet. I have never been so scared in my life. The only remedy for Lar Par is getting the "tie-back" surgery. Charlie needs to get the "tie-back" surgery ASAP.
