Ramadhan Mubarak everyone! We are two sisters from Cardiff who both run creative accounts on Instagram. We have decided to collaborate to create an Arabic canvas (see bottom of page for pictures); that in shaa Allah encourages you to help us raise money for charity this Ramadhan.
Allah SWT says in the Qur'aan: "Those who spend their wealth [in Allah 's way] by night and by day, secretly and publicly - they will have their reward with their Lord. And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve was." (2:274).
"Like much of the Middle East, Yemen has suffered huge instability and violence following the Arab Spring in 2011. Eighteen months on and over 10,000 have been killed according to the United Nations. At least 3.2 million Yemenis have been displaced, and 14 million out of the 27 million population are estimated to be in need of food assistance. The economy and infrastructure of what was already the poorest country in the Middle East is today in ruins. Worse still, a deadly famine has been sparked leaving thousands of children in several of Yemen’s provinces facing a slow death.
UWT has launched an emergency appeal for suffering families in Yemen, the land of faith and wisdom. Through local partners, the charity is delivering emergency assistance to displaced and hungry families in Sana’a, Aden, Taiz and Hudaydah. Women and children in Yemen today are displaced and hungry. It is our duty to come to their aid and support them with that which Allah has granted us." - UWT
About the chosen charity: Ummah Welfare Trust (UWT) is a UK registered international relief and development charity. Established in the year 2001, UWT operates in over twenty countries across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. They aim to relieve the suffering of the poor and alleviate poverty across the world. UWT is fully committed to a 100% donations policy. There is no deduction for administration or fundraising purposes.
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “The people of Yemen have come to you and they are more gentle and soft-hearted. Belief is Yemenite and Wisdom is Yemenite, while pride and haughtiness are the qualities of the owners of camels (i.e. bedouins). Calmness and solemnity are the characters of the owners of sheep.” ~ Saheeh Al-Bukhaari

Donate as much or as little as £5 to this page as every donation acts as a an entry to the giveaway.
- Winner will be chose at random on the last day of Ramadan in shaa Allah at 10:00pm UK time.
- Only available to UK participants, but we encourage you to donate even if you live outside of the UK - for the sake of Allah SWT and our suffering brothers and sisters.
- Donate as little as £5 and gain ajr (reward) from Allah SWT this blessed month (as well as a having the chance to receive a handmade Arabic canvas)
*To have a greater chance of being picked to revive the canvas, donate multiple times in shaa Allah - but remember the main intention should be to help our brothers and sisters in need - in Allahs name.

Abu Huraira (Radhi-Allahu ‘anhu) reported: Allah’s Messenger (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam) as saying: "Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth and the servant who forgives, Allah adds to his respect; and the one who shows humility, Allah elevates him in the estimation (of the people)." [Sahih Muslim]
