Amie’s Charity Boxing Match for Young Carers
Spende geschützt
Hi everyone,
My name is Amie and on Saturday 9th March, I am taking part in a charity boxing match(WCF) to raise money for ‘Young Carers’ within St.Helens.
St Helens Young Carers Centre is part of St Helens Carers Centre – an independent charity which has been running since 2001. In 2013, the Charity set up St Helens Young Carers to support Young Carers across the borough with a mission to help to reduce the impact of their caring role.
We know that caring for someone who is unwell, disabled or has a drug or alcohol mis-use problem can have a big impact on a Young Carers life. It can be difficult for them to find the time to do things for themselves, like spending time with friends or keeping up to date with school work. As a teacher of PE, I understand and appreciate everything that they do and all the support that they give to them on a weekly basis.
Our service provides support to Young Carers so that they are recognised and have the same opportunities and life chances as other children and young people of a similar age. “We want them to have a life outside of caring, a chance to enjoy a social life. In doing so, we will help them to receive the support they need in order to achieve academically, enabling them to access future training, education or employment. We want them to realise their own potential, set goals and have aspirations that are within their reach”.
If you would like to make a donation and support the fantastic, kind and caring young people of St.Helens, please use the link below.
Thank you very much,
Amie
