Champions for Jody


For those of you that that may not know on 3/26 Jody Brue had a debilitating stroke that caused a massive brain bleed that has affected the right side of his brain. Subsequently, he required a lifesaving surgery where the doctors had to remove part of the skull to allow his brain to swell without causing any more damage. Currently he has limited movement on the left side of his body, but he was able to say his name and give his wife Cara a high five. He has a feeding tube but hopefully it will come out soon!!  

The next step is at least 6 more weeks in the hospital, an intense couple of weeks of stroke therapy at an inpatient facility and most likely followed by an extended stay in a professional nursing facility where he will continue therapy until he is able to go home. We have a very long road ahead of us, but Jody has an AMAZING, MAGICAL, UNBELIEVEABLE group of friends and family that surrounds him. 
 
With all that said, even with insurance medical bills can be a HUGE financial burden. From doctor’s bills, insurance co-pays, and LOST WAGES we are increasing our gofundme goal to go towards financial assistance to meet Jody’s family needs!

Jody is 43 years young and has shared an amazing 18 years with his wife Cara.  He is also blessed with 2 beautiful kids, McKay 17 and Zoe 16. He is such a positive and encouraging person that always has a smile to give. Please help us support this amazing family.
