Help Lauren Kick Cancer’s Ass!

Hi Everyone,
My name is Brooke and I am creating this, along with our friend group, on behalf of my long time friend Lauren Ver Steeg. Lauren recently received a diagnosis of stage III Colorectal cancer at the young age of 26. If you know anything about Lauren it’s that she is probably the funniest person you’ve ever encountered and is handling this hard time with grace and humor (already naming her tumor “Stu”). Our friend group has remained incredibly close for more than 15 years, experiencing all of the ups and downs that life has to offer. Lauren is the first person to be cheering you up and helping you laugh through the hard times - now it’s our turn to help her.
Lauren has been living in New York City since college and is able to receive amazing care there. However, her family still remains in the Rochester area. Her next several months are going to be challenging as she faces chemo, radiation, surgery, and any other therapists and specialists that her medical team deem necessary.
I am asking for your help fundraising to offset the costs of Lauren’s medical expenses, transportation, assist family travel costs, and any other unexpected expenses that may arise throughout this battle. We are incredibly grateful for anything that you are able to offer. If you are unable to contribute financially at this time, we appreciate any and all thoughts, prayers, and good vibes.
