Celebration to End Homelessness '18
Everyone deserves a party!
Last year, we threw a party in the middle of Hollywood and invited everyone experiencing homelessness that we knew, and told them to spread the word.
Over 200 people showed up and ate fresh tacos from a cart, gourmet pizzas fired in a mini-oven, listened to a live-band, took glamorous photos, and played games. It was a blast!
This year, we want to take it up another notch... more guests, more volunteers, more food, more games, more JOY. But we need your help to make this party even better.
Last year we raised $1,200. This year I want to raise $2,500. Help us end isolation and homelessness, and celebrate the dignity and humanity of EVERYONE.

The Center in Hollywood is committed to ending isolation and homelessness for the most vulnerable people living on the streets in Hollywood. We run a community wellness program that uses structured groups that are trauma-informed to bring people out of isolation and take big and small steps forward toward flourishing and, ultimately, housing.
We want to throw a party! Not for donors, not for staff... for our participants.
Research shows that trauma and isolation cause and perpetuate homelessness. All of us, no matter what stage of our life we are in, need the support of a community to thrive.
We provide that community daily for the most vulnerable, isolated, and high-need people in Hollywood. We get to see on a daily basis how engagement through community brings people out of isolation and into wellness.
And what community doesn't have celebrations? What community doesn't throw parties?
We want to throw a huge party on our patio, with a feast of food and snacks, iced teas and coffee, balloons and favors, games and music, lots and lots of pictures... everything a great party should have.
Will you help us throw a party for people who are rarely on anyone else's guestlist? Will you contribute to community for people who need it the most?
All donations will go to fund the celebration, and any extra $$$ will be donated to The Center... so keep giving even if we reach our goal! But we're looking for a good amount of money to have a LOT of food - this may be the only meal our participants get that day, so we want to send them out full!
