Celebrating the Life of Norman Awill

Hello and thank you for visiting our page. This fundraiser was created by close family members of our beloved Brother, Uncle, and Friend, Norman Awill.

Norman was a man of many joys and talents. He was especially known by many for his excellent cooking, always eager to share his creations with everyone invited into his home. He enjoyed gardening, camping, video/photography, and kiting. He found much joy and inspiration from Afro-Cuban drumming and Latin American music.

For 30 years, he served as a mental health counselor and social worker in behavioral health and social services. He also counseled high school as a teacher and mentor. Throughout his life, Norman was a tireless advocate in the fight for social justice at home and abroad.

Norman was a shining light that everyone was drawn to. He always made you feel warm and welcomed and took a genuine interest in all of the lives of the people around him. We will miss his smile, love and positive energy, and will be forever grateful for how he enriched our lives.

Your support is appreciated to help Bobbie with the difficult transition period ahead. Funds raised will help handle end of life/memorial expenses and offset major household and living costs.
