Celebrating One Year In Thailand!
Donación protegida
It is hard to believe that I have been in Thailand for a year in just a few weeks! As I come up to the one-year mark of returning to Thailand, I am transitioning from a B visa (given to all teachers) to a V visa (volunteer visa). Now that borders are fully opened in Thailand and covid restrictions are ending, I am now able to apply for the proper visa that I will need to be on. This allows me to focus more on my ministry placement and leadership role at OneWay Church as well as get connected with other Christian and non-profit organizations across Thailand.
Due to COVID19, there was a change of visa requirements in 2021 which required you to have a job in Thailand to enter the country. In 2021 when I was applying to return to Thailand, I needed to a job in order to get into the country. Now that other sectors have opened up once again, I will need to leave Thailand next week and return on the proper visa to be under a Christian foundation.
This month I am asking my supporters to help me raise an additional $2,000 to help cover the cost of next week's big transition. These costs include:
Visa fee
Work permit fee
Translation service fee
Foundation fee
International flight out of Thailand (5 days is required to be out of the country)
Thai embassy fee
Funds to help assist cover a new motorbike which will be needed as transportation to and from different locations of work and volunteer is required
As of April 8th, I have completed my contract with Vayupak Nara School and am patiently waiting for all the proper documentation to be processed here in Thailand so that I can do a visa run. This also means that the month of April I do not have any income coming in from Thailand and am relying on donations from Canada and the U.S until a confirmed work permit is granted by the Thai government (Lord willing in May).
Many of you have also asked about my missions sending agency. Right now, ACCI (Adventive Cross Cultural Initiatives), which is based out of Ottawa, has me on a six-month evaluation process to make sure that this project fits the requirements of its platform. I hope to have my project fully accredited by June. For the time being, donations are to be directed through the TD Canada ministry account, e-transfer or cheques can be processed by mailing them to my home office. Donations are also greatly appreciated through my GoFundMe campaign pages.
Thank you so much for your continuous prayers, support and investing in the next generation of Thailand.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me personally.
God bless!
