Just days ago, our beloved friend Brandy faced the unimaginable—her mother, Alice, passed away suddenly and without warning.

Alice was a light in every life she touched. She was warm, selfless, thoughtful, and endlessly kind. The kind of person who remembered birthdays, brought soup when you were sick, and always made you feel like family. Her passing has left a hole that can’t be filled—but the love she gave lives on in everyone who knew her.

Brandy, Alice’s daughter, is now navigating overwhelming grief while also trying to handle everything left behind. If you know Brandy, you know she’s the first to show up, lend a hand, or give what she can, even when she doesn’t have much herself. Now it’s our turn to show up for her.

In the last week, Brandy has taken unpaid time off from work to be at the hospital, grieve, and now begin the heartbreaking process of sorting through her mother’s home. One of Brandy’s wishes right now is to plan a memorial for Alice—a celebration of life where loved ones can gather to share stories, remember her laughter, and honor the incredible woman she was.
