Beschermde donatie
Dear Family and Friends,
It’s with a heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of our mother, Willa Mae Dixon (Betty, Betty Boop, Big Mama, and Grandma Betty were some of the titles she wore). On September 21, 2024, at 5:00 am, our mom received her wings.
Mom was diagnosed with AFIB (Atrial Fibrillation). AFib happens when the upper and lower chambers of your heart stop working together in the right rhythm. This can cause your heart to beat too slowly, too quickly, or irregularly. When this happens, the lower chambers do not fill completely or pump enough blood to your lungs and body. Mom let go and went home; she believed in Jesus and Heaven.
Our mom touched the hearts of so many people. She was a mom to so many of our friends and other family members. What she gave was a warm smile, a warm meal, a hug, positive conversation, and great advice, as well as a warm bed to sleep in. She was the lady that felt no one should be left behind. She would give you the shirt off her back. She was truly a beautiful human being.
Losing a mother is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know. Her goodness, her caring, and her wisdom will live on like a legacy of love that will be with us always. I come to you humbly, asking if you would make a donation to support in celebrating our mother. Your donation will make it possible for us to honor her life with a dignified memorial celebration. We hope to honor her by hosting her loved ones and friends together and offering their loving remarks and memories of their experiences with her.
Mothers hold their children’s hands for a while, but their hearts forever.
