Cedar Rapids Derecho Relief

Cedar Rapids, Iowa (and surrounding cities) was affected by a devastating storm called a derecho. The storm had over 100mph winds for almost an hour, leaving our city in shambles. The storm that hit our city is NOT on national news! We are NOT getting the attention that we so desperately need in order to save our community! Hundreds of thousands of us still without power, 94% of houses affected, majority of stores (gas stations, grocery stores, etc) shut down, our entire economy at a stand still. A lot of people have completely lost EVERYTHING. I would love to collect donations to help my community in any way that I can! Whether you would like to donate $1 to go towards water, coolers, generators, or to even donate to help people with tree removal (as a lot of insurances don’t cover this), It is GREATLY appreciated! Also, sharing this is just as helpful! We have a LONG road ahead to repair what’s been lost, but if one things for certain, our city WILL band together and help each other through it (like we always do)! There’s no place I’d rather be, than here with my fellow Cedar Rapidians! Pictures will never show the true destruction; however, here’s a couple anyways!
