Gaza Evacuation and Medical Care

Hi,

You all know about the genocide unfolding in Gaza, and the horrendous suffering and destruction.

We are raising money to help Aeia, a young woman from Gaza to evacuate and receive medical attention. We both worked in Gaza from 2008 to 2010 and have friends there. Aeia is a friend of a friend.

There is a formal medical evacuation list, but this has involves really significant delays, and Aeia's care has already been significantly delayed. We have a contact with an Egyptian company who can secure exit from Gaza, for a fee. Our hope is to get her to Egypt urgently for medical care.

We know this is only a drop in the ocean, but it is one person we can all help.

Aeia is 23 years old. In November 2023 she was injured in an explosion and suffered extensive injuries, and burns to approximately 38% of her body. The clothes that she was wearing that day are melted onto her body. She has shrapnel fragments in her body, head and face. The doctors who examined her in November recommended that she receive treatment immediately at a burn centre. She has been waiting until now for a medical evacuation.

The airstrike that injured Aeia also killed both her parents, her brother, his pregnant wide. and their small children.

Any help you can provide would be hugely appreciated. All the money will go to help Aeia leave Gaza, and for her follow up care. If we raise more than is needed we will use it to help secure medical care for someone else.
