ASKING FOR DONATIONS FOR A HEARTBREAKING SITUATION
Dear everyone
I hope you can take 5 minutes out of your day to read this following story:
My dear friend Laura Bileskalne got very stressed last Sunday when she suddenly couldn’t find her beloved cat Rio.
All-day she handed out posters and went all around Barcelona city to look for him.
Sunday evening Laura received a phone call from a woman who said that she had seen Rio earlier this day. Unfortunately, as she saw him he was getting picked up from the street by animal rescue.
Laura then learned that Rio had been found on the street unconscious and with blood coming out of him.
Rio had fallen 6 floors down from a rooftop.
Rio is now at the hospital, he is stable for now but he needs to get his leg amputated as it is too broken to fix, his other leg is broken as well but can be saved with surgery.
Laura is one of the most hardworking people I know, she is a self-employed event maker and she has hosted over 150 dinners for people from all around the world on her rooftop in the heart of Barcelona.
Laura is the type of person who loves to make other people happy. She is a true caretaker and she goes above and beyond to make everyone around her feel good.
Laura lives from pay-check to pay-check as paying the rent for her beautiful place can be a struggle, especially doing the winter as rooftop dinners aren’t as popular as in the summer. She always pushes through because without this rooftop she wouldn’t be able to make these amazing events.
Rio’s surgery will cost around 3000€ +
This is money that Laura simply does not have.
Therefore I’m asking on behalf of my dear friend and my beloved godson Rio if you can spare a dime or two towards saving his life.
Rio is Laura’s everything and I have never seen her this heartbroken.
I know it would mean the world to Laura if people could help Rio get back on his 3 feet.
Rio is the cutest furball of all time, very curious, energetic and he has been melding people's hearts (also mine) at every single event on Laura’s rooftop. He can also be a troublemaker but cats will be cats and that is what makes him, him. A cat full of character and so much love and charm, he only turned 1 this year and has so many years left in him.
We know that this month has a lot of expenses for everyone so if you can’t spare a dime then we would be forever grateful if you can share this story.
Let’s heal some broken legs and some broken hearts.
