Cassidy Vargas’ Mayah Voyage

Donation protected

Cassidy and Max Vargas have had a tough year but have also been blessed with the best miracle possible.
A couple years ago they bought their first beautiful home to build their life together.
Within that year Harvey took its toll on their home. Even with the disaster they kept their spirits up and went right to work repairing their home.
It wasn’t long after that, the unexpected miracle happened.
Cassidy became pregnant!!!
Despite the low odds doctors gave her for ever being able to have children, they beat the odds. What a joyous time!

Unfortunately the joy quickly turned into more unfortunate news. Cassidy has a shortened cervix which can cause preterm labor. She quickly had a cervical cercalge surgery to keep the baby, Ms. Mayah Rae Vargas, put. With this surgery she had to take it easy for the rest of her pregnancy, which is not easy to do for a crossfit competitor.

Fast forward to week 24 of her pregnancy. She went in for her normal appointment which quickly turned into an ambulance ride downtown. It looked like Mayah was coming soon. Dr’s remain positive and supportive that Cassidy can make it to at least 30 weeks.

Now at 26 weeks Cassidy has been placed on strict bedrest due to minimal to no cervix.

Here is where you come in...

First, We need prayers for Cassidy and Max’s  strength and optimism. As well as for baby Mayah’s stubbornness to meet the world.

Secondly, Cassidy and Max would greatly appreciate any financial support they may receive.
As you know, Max has become a new small business owner which takes time and money to get off the ground. In turn, they work mostly off her her teacher salary. With Cassidy being on bed rest and Mayah, when she shows her shiny face,  having to be kept in the hospital for a while, this will cause them to be without a good source of income until she can return to work.

With Harvey in the too near past, pregnancy bedrest in the present , and hospital stays in the near future any help her friends and family can provide will be much appreciated and forever remembered.

As you know, Cassidy is strong willed, which helps her tremendously through these tough times, but it is the support of friends and family that keep her going.
We love and cherish her “village”.
They always say “it takes a village...”
