Support Carriacou’s Recovery from Hurricane Beryl About Us: Born citizens of Carriacou, Grenada, living in the United States We are Beyond devastated to see the impact of Hurricane Beryl . Carriacounians are strong and resilient people ,but we need your help to rebuild. Families have lost their homes, businesses, and loved ones due to the devastating winds that reached up to 165 mph on July 1, 2024. Our Commitment: We’ve set up this GoFundMe campaign to provide direct aid to those affected. As born Carriacounians, we are personally invested in ensuring that every dollar raised goes where it’s needed the most. Your support matters, and we’re grateful for your generosity. Transfer Plan: Once the campaign concludes, we will transfer the funds to Minister Tevin who will transfer directly to local suppliers, businesses, and individuals in Carriacou. Transparency is our priority, and we’ll keep you informed about how your donation is making a difference. How the Funds Will Be Spent: Your contributions will be used for: Emergency Supplies: $30,000will be used for purchasing essential items like overhead tanks to ensure a stable water supply for the community, roofing materials for those requiring minor repairs enabling them to immediately be comfortable in their home, showers and toilets, solar latern, Solar street llamps enhancing safety and security in the area, cooking gas tanks ensuring access to cooking facilities, pet food for animal shelter, supporting the needs of animals in the community, toiletries, tooth paste toothbrush soaps sanitary pads, deodorants lotion, undergarments and more Rebuilding Efforts: $50,000 will be used for building materials to help families reconstruct their homes, restoring water supply to homes, through out the island, sleeping bags, sleeping carts, inflatable mattresses. Offering support services for mental health and trauma recovery for survivors , restoring essential infrastructure such as roads, electricity, water supply systems. Shipping and Logistics: Ensuring timely delivery of aid to Carriacou. Our Goal: We aim to raise 80,000 to support Carriacou’s recovery. Every dollar counts, and together, we can rebuild lives and create hope in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl. The beneficiary is Keith Coy who has accepted the responsibility to facilitate the transfer of USD denominated Funds to a local bank.. Keith Coy is the Minister of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Tevin’s Andrew’s mentor. Mr Coy will transfer to a local bank in Carriacou to be administered by the Minister of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affair. The stipulation is that the funds be used to purchase building material to assist needy families rebuilt their homes. Depending on total funds raised, we have asked him to choose as much family as possible to help. All funds and total amount of families and their names will be updated here so everyone who donated will knows how their contribution was spent.
