On New Year's Eve of 2019, Carolyn Bistarkey was traveling home to Pittsburgh from North Carolina with her fiance Chris Torrez and Chris's 12-year-old son. Carolyn was driving when they went over a hillside of the highway. Both Chris and Carolyn were ejected from the vehicle despite wearing their seatbelts. Carolyn died on impact, and Chris was severely injured. Chris's son broke several vertebrae in his back but courageously managed to climb the embankment to flag for help. As of today, Chris remains in the ICU, and his son is also in the hospital seeking recovery.
Carolyn and Chris were recently engaged. Carolyn and Chris share their two-month-old Kingston who was safe with the Bistarkey family during the accident. He is their pride and joy. Carolyn, Kingston, and Chris.
Surviving her are her older brother Dale Jr., her father Dale Sr., and her mother Barb, who lived in the house next to her in Oakdale. Carolyn was only 24-years-old and was looking forward to marrying Chris and raising their son Kingston.

Who Am I?
I am here asking for help on behalf of Carolyn's family, The Bistarkey's. I worked with Carolyn, Barb, and Carolyn's brother Dale for over 6 years at Market District. I also would often see Carolyn at the airport after I left Market District and moved to Texas. Carolyn worked at the airport at a car rental counter for the last several years. I would often see her in my travels. Whenever I took a flight out of Pittsburgh I would enter at baggage claim to make sure I could stop by and say hi to Carolyn.
Where will the money go?
The Bistarkey family needs your help for the unexpected expense of a funeral and raising a 2-month-old baby Kingston. All funds collected minus the fees of GoFundMe will be given directly to the Bistarkey family for Carolyn's funeral, body transportation from North Carolina, and raising 2-month-old Kingston.
Note from the Bistarkey family,
The Bistarkey Family thanks you in advance for your contribution big or small, even a single share of this fundraiser to Facebook or your friends and family is much appreciated.
