As many of you know Carlos has had a cough for quite some time now. He is a very strong man and continued to work even though he was feeling terrible. He had a CT scan last week that revealed a large mass in the anterior mediastinal.  To be just shy of 28 years old, this is not something we would think he would be facing. After being admitted to SARH an oncologist stopped by to discuss the possibility of lymphoma. The biopsy came back and the oncologist is not able to make the proper diagnosis between thymoma, thymic cancer, or Hodgkin's lymphoma. He will be admitted to San Antonio Regional Hospital for another biopsy to get more tissue in order to get the definite diagnosis so he can start treatment. Obviously nobody ever plans for situations like this mentally or financially. Carlos will be going on disability and I will be going on paid family leave to be here for Carlos and help with his care- I won't leave his side. The treatment can consist of surgery, radiation, and possibly chemo which is all very costly. And of course everyone knows we still have to take care of our 8 month old son Cruz and other normal financial responsibilities. Anything will help.  I know how loved Carlos is and we appreciate everyone's positive vibes, prayers, love, and support. Family and friends are so important during this time. We are strong and we will stay strong. ❤
