After finally finding a home to rent in June of 2021, we moved in and began to make it ours.
On Mothers Day 2022, just this past Sunday May 8th, we came home from having brunch with our family, to a note in the door that formally gives us notice, our landlord is selling this home that he has owned for 30+ years, and we have 60 days to leave.
We’ve been here just a year. I still have PTSD from the last time we moved. I know I don’t know what the landlords personal circumstances are, however, I do believe he knew he was going to sell this home when we moved in last year. I think he wanted to fill it with renters, collect rent for an entire year before unloading it and selling. It is infuriating.
Regardless, it is what it is and we must move on and find someplace else to live. As you can imagine this has come out of the blue & already living paycheck to paycheck I have zero savings. Moving is expensive. This campaign will be used for moving expenses, all the way around and to give us a fighting chance in the months to come.
Being single parent is not easy, but I do it all on my own with zero help from the other parent, financially. That being said, I have always landed on my feet and we will land firmly this time, just like we always have.
