Care Fund for Becky
Donación protegida
I came to know Becky Lyle as her supervisor at the Millington Public Library. I learned that Becky has been a Nurse Practitioner for about 14 years and worked as an emergency room nurse through the covid pandemic. She told me how she had an elderly patient who had a neglected wound that needed to be soaked over several hours so that the bandage could be removed. She described how she had to find a closet area so he could wait and where she could patiently and gradually remove the bandage so it would not be so painful. Becky is an incredibly compassionate person who often puts others’ needs before her own.
I can only imagine what it must have been like to work as a nurse in an ER during a pandemic. I do know that the medical profession is extremely stressful, and it takes a good and strong person to persevere through such a tough time. I also know that if I ever ended up in the ER, I would want Becky as my nurse!
So, Becky has spent her life caring for sick and injured patients, but now she has become the patient. In April 2023, she was diagnosed with cancer. She has endured a long surgery and has 8 to 10 weeks of recovery and then months of chemo. Since Becky took a break from full-time work to mentally and physically recover from a stressful time, she currently has an alternative insurance plan. Her friends have started this fundraiser to help relieve Becky and her family from the worry of paying medical bills while we pray for Becky’s healing. Please pray for Becky and give if you can. Thank you.
