Come support the 2018 Urban Development Capstone team for their Field work in Sao Paulo,Brazil! From the George Washington University, the capstone is the final requirement for completing the Masters of Arts in International Development Studies. The 4 grad students will provide a research consultancy for the community organization, Accesso SP, who aim to protect youth in the neighborhood of Capao Redondo from drug and gang violence.  Using participatory methods the team will work with the children of Accesso SP to learn where vulnerabilities in the community are and how Accesso SP can best serve and to make lasting impacts.  Learn more about Accesso SP:  http://www.accessaopaulo.org/

The trip will be 11 days in March 2018 and consist of group meetings, interviews, and interactive activities to gain insights from the community. 

The 2018 Urban Development Capstone team is also recieving partial funding from The Brazil Initiative to support our research. 

Your contribution will support the indispensable field work experience critical to completing the capstone.
Examples of Contribution:
$250 -  Accomadation of 1 capstone member for entire trip
$160 - Cost of Brazilian Visa per capstone member
$60 - One day of transporation for the team
$15 - Supplies for one child of Accesso SP

All excess funds will be donated to Accesso SP for continuning work supporting youth programs.
