Canine Remi seizure Alert Training
Spende geschützt
Hello,
My name is Kaylee. Last year I was a normal 14 year old teenager. I was in school, on the swim team, hanging out with friends and very involved with my youth group at church. One normal evening after my sister's birthday dinner I had an unexpected seizure. I had no medical issues that related to seizures. That lead me to a long road of many seizures to come. I spent many days and nights in the hospital being poked and monitored. I tried to stay in school and church but my condition became a safety factor. Kids at my age dont know how to handle someone like me who is a little different because of medical issues so they become mean and hateful. I couldnt help the classroom disruption and what happens in a seizure. I just wanted to stay home in my room where I knew I was safe. I started online home school and lost most all of my normal life and friends. Needless to say my world became dark and depressing. Many months went by trying to figure out what was causing the seizures and how bad the next one would be. I started seizing in my sleep and sometimes would vomit unknowingly. This would scare my parents bad. One glorious day a friend of my dad gave me an AKC registered pure breed Chesapeake Bay Retriever. This four legged loving God given ball of joy came into my life as a ten week old puppy. It was just at the right time to bring joy back into my life. I know things could be worse, but this is my struggle. I named him Remington. He has not left my side night or day for the last year. we have seperation anxiety when we are appart.LOL. He is my best friend. My parents have struggled to pay for obeidence training and registered him as a service dog. See I need to return to school for classes like Spainish and Advanced math class that I cant do online. I need Remi to go with me. He is my confidence and friend when others might not be. I guess you could call him my confidence. The training he needs is called enviromental training for service dogs. It insures he can be in public places without bad behaivor and to alert if Im going to have a seizure. He saved my life one night by clearing my air way after a seizure while I was sleeping. The cost of the training is $3500. My parents both work as a police officer and a parapro. My dad lost his job a few years back and had to start over. It put us back financially and still playing catch up. They both work extra jobs and do their best. Any money donated to Remi's training will be used for that purpose. I promise. If not I will refund it back to you. Thank you for reading my story. I cant wait to see if Remi goes to school himself and with me. Love,
Kaylee
