2nd Annual Cancersucks Jamboree

I always looked at cancer stories and just said, "that's sad", until my life changed with a simple text. My best friend sent me a text, "I have cancer". Now cancer was in my bubble and what I found was that the people who support those who fight cancer need just as much support as the one who fights this horrible disease. I watched my best friend fight, cry, laugh, and love through cancer. I can still hear her tell me. "I'm just so tired, Nesha." I don't think we ever really recover from the loss of love ones but if we are still on this earth it is our obligation that there legacy lives on. Years earlier I lost Coach Kay Yow to breast cancer and the impact she had on my life is immeasurable. So this jamboree is about the legacy of two of the most important people in my life, all monies go to cancer research and Teresa S. Mobley scholarship. #cancersucks and for one day we are celebrating those who have fought the good fight and those who stood with them in their journey. #leukemia #breastcancer #cancerdoesnotwin
