Please help Jim not to lose his voice to cancer

Hi, my name is Antje and I am trying to raise funds to help my boyfriend James Ord, who was just diagnosed with advanced throat cancer.  He grew up in Ontario and is known as a fun, loving and happy guy, who loves to make ppl laugh.  His impressions of celebrities will have you laugh in tears. He is a big animal lover and loves saving critters -big or small- whenever and wherever he can.  He is an all around good guy- always there when needed and a big kid at heart! James is a 10 year military veteran, who still loves everything army related.  His love for the outdoors has led to his current position at the Yukon Suspension Bridge, where he works 5 month of the year.  Once back home in Parksville you will usually find him at marinas taking pictures of old wooden boats, which he just loves.  He is a very skilled woodworker and crafts amazing furniture by hand. Jim had to leave work immediately due to his serious diagnosis.  Being a contract worker he now has no Income without benefits. Unfortunately I was laid off from work and our only source of Income is my EI at the moment. We sadly have no savings or assets either and only rent a furnished basement suite.  We are also new to this town and do not know anybody who might be able to help.  On top of our regular bills, we now have added costs of medications, transportation service from victoria to parksville on weekends (when the cancer lodge is closed) and dentures, as he needs most of his teeth removed. James needs Radiation and Chemo Therapy at the Cancer Clinic in Victoria.  He will receive radiation 5 days a week for 7 weeks and Chemo once every 3 weeks. He needs treatment ASAP and  as of now we can not afford his stay at the Cancer Society Lodge, which is 55.00 per day.  He is looking at 2100.00 for the Cancer lodge,  plus another 2100.00 to cover my stay as his support and caretaker.  Cancer is scary enough and nobody should have to battle it alone. Once his treatment is finished he will need time to fully recovery, before he can return to work.  His cancer treatment is supposed to start the end of August, but we have no funds available to even cover his stay at the cancer lodge. So we are very worried, as he needs a place to stay in Victoria to attend his radiation and chemo.  So any funds raised, would be very much appreciated and desperately needed to go forward with his treatment.  We are both very caring and giving ppl and always pay it forward if we see ppl in need and give where we can whether its buying food for homeless ppl or giving change. Unfortunately we are now in a bad situation, where we need to ask for help.  We are very grateful for anything you may be able to donate and every dollar counts, as it ads up.
