GLASSES THAT WILL CHANGE MY LIFE
 
With this assistive device, my life will drastically change.  These glasses will enable me to be more independent. When I put the goggles on for the first time in a dim room, I went from seeing only dark shadows to being able to see the face of the man standing five feet in front of me. I could also see that there were tables and people walking around about 50 feet in front of me.

My heart skipped a beat and I felt the tears of joy coming down my face.

I know these glasses will change my day to day life as well as my work life. It will allow me to stand in a grocery store and see what is on the shelf. I will be able to read the name of stores when walking by with my service animal. I will also be able to see facial expressions on TV and better understand what is going on when I watch a movie. I will also be able to read short notes and have the glasses read to me for longer documents.

I will also be able to go to sporting events like UF gymnastics meets and actually see the performances. I will also be able to see what is on stage at a play or music concert. I will be able to better see my patients exercise on the Pilates equipment. I will also be able to see their posture and make corrections.

 

These glasses may open me to so many more things I have avoided because I cannot see. The list is endless.

The thought of this opportunity fills me with joy. I will get to see a tree, a flower, and your face!  I appreciate any help you can offer financially. This adaptive equipment is very expensive.
