Dear friends,
U-NITE has reached a very special phase. This year’s edition was the most successful so far. We had 35% more people at the event and 300+ likes on our Facebook page. Over the last 4 years, we have welcomed approximately 130 volunteers, 50 workshop leaders and around 200 performing artists.
More importantly, the true success of U-NITE has been the connections made and the friendships built, attracting people from many different backgrounds and traditions, coming together in a spirit of solidarity that has marked our movement. It gives artists the opportunity to use and express their talent, to make a difference and contribute.
We can all agree that the weekend of the event is the anchor, but the impact can be felt during the whole year. We would love to see this adventure continue and grow.
The reality we face is that we need to raise funds to keep it going. We always knew that it would take a minimum of 5 years to be in the black.
People have helped and supported us in amazing ways and we are extremely thankful.
This year we felt that an online fundraiser would be the best way to generate support. We need a team effort to make it happen financially. We are many and together we can raise resources by sharing our need with friends, family and colleagues.
We believe that everybody who has come to U-NITE wants it to continue.
We are confident that TOGETHER we can make it happen!
