Campaign for Pope Francis Center

The Pope Francis Center is a day shelter and warming center for people experiencing homelessness in Detroit. Due to the current pandemic, the homeless are unable to congregate inside the facility for warmth as per usual. Although we have set up open air tents outside to care for them, they are ill prepared for our harsh Michigan winters. We are visiting with these truly wonderful people every week to provide them with nursing care. The homeless are on their feet the majority of the day walking with ill feeling shoes and improper health care. We are attempting to raise money for supplies such as shoes, socks, and warm winter attire including blankets.
