Mission to Cambodia 2016

Hello Friends,
I am supposed to tell you my story...but it's still being written, so I suppose I will give you just a preview. I am planning a trip to Cambodia in February 2016. Surprise! It's supposed to be a mission's trip so that I can be a blessing and help those who need help, although I know truthfully that I am the one that will ultimately be blessed by this experience. I never thought that I could really find a way to make it there. I never thought that my "broken" self could be strong or brave enough to do something like this by myself. But what I keep hearing is that God can use the broken and make something beautiful happen. My heart hurts for the broken. I never realized how much it hurt. But I am sensitive beyond what words can describe, some call it a weakness, however, for the first time ever, I believe it's my gift. God gave me this heart for a reason and it's finally time to really put myself in a place where I can see with my own eyes the needs of the hurting, but also the restoration and healing that can take place. I need to be part of this, I often struggle with knowing my purpose and doubting the plans for my life, but in a moment of clarity, God moved in my heart and this is part of His plan.
I donate to a lot of organizations but I have never had the opportunity to see how it's used. Sure there are pictures and stories, but being able to actually be there and see it firsthand, takes my breath away just thinking about it. A trip like this is expensive, even as I browse through flights now, I see that the cost is going to be a lot. However, I would also love to be able to raise some money to donate to the organization I will have the privilege to see. I have met the founder of Sak Saum twice now, and Ginny has been such a blessing in my own life for this little time that I've known her. It would be such an honor to be able to donate a large amount to help fund more of their programs that help those who have been victims of trafficking...
I am grateful for all the donations I have received with my badge bling, and will continue to use that money for this organization as well, but I figured I would use this as a bigger platform. I just need a little help to reach a goal. If you know me, then you know how important this is to me. Mother Teresa said "Give your hands to serve and your hearts to love." I am ready.
