Calling on Community Support for Corina Bye

Hello, friends and family.

 

We are writing to you on behalf of the Kilila Birth Keeper Collective. It is with immense grief and sorrow that we share the news of our dear Sister's loss. Her beloved Kwalayu,  her fiance', Tlakwa'dzi Dawson passing on September 16th, 2021.

 

Corina and Tlakwa'dzi shared an incredible love story. It was the kind of love filled with reflection, healing and growth. The plans they shared together rippled into the communities they served, into the families they held so near and dear to their hearts.

 

We are asking our communities, near and far to help us help our sister with financial support during this challenging time, to shower her with love and prayers and to make this transition for herself and her children as gentle as it can be.

We have set Corina up as the sole beneficiary to the go fund me account. All funds will go directly to her and her family.

 

As a collective we were so blessed to meet and welcome him into our families. Tlakwa'dzi brought his medicine wherever he went, supporting us with prayers, songs and drumming. He taught us the meaning of Maya'xala and his vision, his dream of creating beautiful connections and support through one of his passions, food and nourishment.

 

Please continue to pray for Corina, her children and all those who have felt the impact that Tlakwa'dzi has left in the hearts of all.
