Help Callie get her life back

Hi my name is Larissa, my husband Jaysen and I have a beautiful, smart, talented 8 year old girl who is struggling with an autoimmune disorder known as PANS/PANDAS. PANS stands for pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric syndrome and PANDAS stands for pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders associated with strep. These autoimmune disorders cause inflammation in a part of her brain when she is having a flare. When in a flare she has many neurological and psychological symptoms.

On January 26th 2018, at only 3 years old, we lost a part of our little girl. She suddenly became aggressive, anxious, getting so upset her pupils would dilate, running out of the buildings from us, she was uncontrollable.

Callie was diagnosed at age 3 with PANS/PANDAS. Ever since we have spent hours and hours researching and have put ourselves in debt with blood work and doctors appointments that insurance doesn’t cover. In February of 2021 we found an immunologist who found Bartenella and Babesia (tick illnesses). Most recently Callie had to be hospitalized in the crisis intervention unit where they refused to treat her PANS/PANDS even after talking with her specialists. She has been on antibiotics for more than half of her life and shes getting worse.

These doctors that speiaize in PANS and PANDAS treatment aren’t covered by insurance. We need her to be able to to go to a clinic with a team of doctors who we truly think can help. However the initial visit is $2000 and every visit after costs $500.
