California COVID Masks

Health care professionals are on the front lines without the proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).  The recent pandemic is a call for us to do what we can.  Based in California, this is a coordinated effort for like-minded makers who have the capabilities to make face shields and supply those who do not have the resources to stay safe while battling the corona virus.  Based upon the design from https://budmen.com/, this campaign is looking to fund as many as we can make throughout this pandemic.

A goal of $600 could get us around 80 face shields- we would, if course, like to make more.  If you wish to donate materials (Amazon has material shortage/ longer shipping times- hence the paper 'stand-in' for the prototype), the face shields are made from/ using:

-PLA filament 
-Foam Tape 3/4 in wide x 1/2 in thick or thicker
-.005in thick poly sheet - 12in x 9in sheets (PET-G, Acetate, or other clear impermeable material)
-Elastic Band - 1/2 in wide
-Super Glue
-Rubbing Alcohol and other disinfectants
-Rubber gloves/ masks to wear while assembling
