Caleb Weir Eagle Scout Project

Hello my name is Caleb Weir, and I am currently a Life Scout in troop 1997 and for the past couple of weeks I have been planning my Eagle Scout Project. During my time in boy scouts I have always been devoted to serving my community, and for my Eagle Scout Project I intend to be serving the community once more.

For my project I will be making two vegetable gardens that are 8ft long 4ft wide, and roughly 15 inches deep. The vegetable garden boxes are going to be surrounded by flower beds and a mesh garden fence. This project is being done for the Anjuman-Ezzi Masjid. The project is beneficial to the Anjuman-Ezzi Masjid because it will be used to both create environmental awareness and grow produce to be used in the kitchen. The community has been making a push towards zero food waste and the use of ingredients from sustainable and environmentally friendly food sources, and this project will help to achieve that goal, as well as to serve as an example in hopes to encourage its members to adopt these principals and habits in their personal lives.

Of course to complete this project I’m going to need funding to purchase the materials and supplies. To complete this project, I am asking for your support through this GoFundMe. The funds raised will go towards the purchase of materials and equipment needed to complete the project, as well as covering any other necessary expenses. Any excess funds raised will be donated to future troop 1997 Eagle Scout projects.
