Caistor Community Cinema

Thank you for taking the time to consider our appeal. We're excited to announce the creation of our Community Cinema here in Caistor. Our aim is to create a cinema for the community of Caistor and the surrounding area. Our nearest cinema is more than 15 miles way! We want to provide a place where people of all ages can come and see a movie without having to plan a road trip to do it.
After a series of informal meetings, we have created a committee and working parties to get the project moving. We've had meetings with specialists in the field and taken their advice on board. We've carried out sound and visual tests in several buildings in Caistor and we all agree that the Town Hall is the best place for it. We've done our research, spoken to experts, conducted our first feasibility study and got approval for use of the Town Hall. All our volunteers are in place, on the starting blocks for the next phase of this exciting Caistor Community project.
We now need the support of the generous and public spirited people out there to help with the funds to realise our goals. Film screening equipment is not cheap, but we are realistic in our ambitions. We aim to purchase the projector, amplifier, speakers and screen that have been recommended as appropriate for the venue. Naturally, we'd like our opening night to be as soon as possible but, again, we are being realistic so aim to have the Caistor Community Cinema up and running before the summer of 2018.
Caistor is a small town with a big heart. Having our own cinema would add greatly to our sense of community, and give our youth groups and senior residents a social activity on their doorstep. We hope you can help us achieve our aims - and you're welcome to come along and see what we have created with your kindness.
