Cahore Inshore Rescue Service Fund Appeal

Cahore Inshore Rescue Service has been serving the community for over 20 years. It was set up in 1995, after a local woman went missing at sea. We carried out searches for several months but never recovered the casualty. A group of local people in the community got together and decided to raise money to purchase a boat, to set up a service, so in the future we would be equipped to handle these situations. Since then, we have assisted in many recoveries and rescues . We have gone from strength to strength, becoming what is now a recognised and well established Community Rescue Service.
Our mission is to serve our community and we want to continue to do so. We rely on the kindness of the public through donations and fundraising support.
Unfortunately this year, Covid 19 restrictions have had a huge impact on our annual fundraising events, with most of our events cancelled. Our biggest fundraiser event, our Annual Cahore Regatta will not be taking place.
This is a huge loss to us, and in order to stay operational, we are appealing once again to our beloved supporters to help us out.
