help with transportation expenses

I am a full time touring singer/songwriter, as many of you know already, and have been doing this for my livelihood for most of my life.  I drive thousands of miles all over the country each year to do what I do.  I rent cars for traveling long distances, but still require a car of my own to have at home for my performances within a couple of hours from me, which includes my work with Music for Seniors.   My beloved 2002 VW Beetle has been such a good car for me the past 4 and a half years.  I have taken good care of her and we've traveled many a mile.  Sadly this past Wednesday, March 29, she broke down on me as I was out about an hour from home.  The verdict we received was not good.  The timing  had jumped and the engine was blown. I was given a quote of $8-9,000 to replace the engine with a brand new one.  I spoke with another mechanic who could do the job for about half that cost with a rebuilt engine.  But he told me with the age of my car, the uncertainty of what troubles come with rebuilt engine, etc., I might be better off to buy another car.  I have very limited resources being a touring musician, I'm not rich by any means, I don't have a lot of money available or a credit line to handle anything like this.  And the problems go further here as I not only have to come up with the money to get my car running or put a down payment on a new one, I'm paying for a rental car so I can get around and continue working while I'm home from the road, and pay the bill at the garage .  I am not one to ask  for help, far from it.  But I have had people who have offered to help and suggest I set up a gofund me page so I am doing so now.  I have my goal for $3,000.  More would  be even better.  I will be eternally grateful for whatever we raise here.   For large donations, I would be happy to come perform a concert at no charge in your home, at your church or for your local charity.  I have CD's of my albums "Girls Like Us" and "Bare Bones" (with Billy Hancock), I am happy to sign and send as a thank you.  I do also have some of my artwork I am happy to share as well with you.    I wish to give back however I can to any of you who are willing to help me during this time.  You have my heartfelt thanks in advance!
