Stop Gun Violence

As a former police and military officer, noting is more important to me than life itself. It has come to the point where simply just turning on the news and seeing what’s going on is past ridiculous. We need to do something to stop the bad guys. If we don't, it is guaranteed to get worse.
This is what I propose:
In order to stem the illegal use of firearms and save the lives of innocent men, women and children we've got to get tough. I’m petitioning through congress under the representation and administration of both parties and the peoples thorough the courts for the Federal Government to impose a mandatory death sentence for those who are tried and convicted of illegally using a firearm to commit a crime resulting in death of another. I believe by implementing this measure it will reduce the number gun crimes, violence and deaths, making our inner cities and communities much safer and finally give the victim and their families the true definition of justice that we all deserve. This isn't a racial issue, however it does addresses the human race. Firearms are a necessity and a useful tool in our society. It can be used to save and protect lives. The bottom line is that every innocent victim deserves to live a life that is free of possibility of someone intentionally or unintentionally taking it with the use of an illegal firearm. Sending and carrying out this clear message will help stop it from happening.
