Jumpstart Julie & John After Forest Fire
Donation protected
Julie dreamt for a log cabin. John built it from scratch -- felled the logs, peeled the bark, etc. Last week it burnt to the ground in the Chiwaukum Creek Forest Fire. This is what they found:
All that work and dreams. No fire insurance. (Tried to get it; prohibitively expensive. “How near is the closest fire hydrant?” asked the agent. “14 miles” said John.)
It's too soon to know what they will do – rebuild? Put up a yurt? A first step has to be hiring a logger to take down the “widow makers” -- dead trees and limbs that could come crashing down.
Julie reverberates with a lively, generous personality. Upbeat, a hard worker, quick with a joke, eager to help, a wise healer. She needs you now.
John is a big guy with a gentle soul who can build or repair anything. He put 1000s of hours into that cabin and outbuildings – now all ash. He needs you now.
They need ALL of us. I ask you to dig deep. Please spread the word, and the donation link.
Julie and John thank you from the depths of their hearts for considering this request.
