Kenya Orphanage Service Trip

Hi friends and family!
I have the amazing opportunity to go on a service trip to Kenya this December with an organization I have had the pleasure to intern with this summer, The One Love Movement. Their mission is to be a creator of the community and an activist for at-risk homeless youth, inspiring people to get involved and serve their heart. The One Love Movement raises awareness and money for the homeless youth through yoga events, which have reached the support of hundreds.
Being a Global Studies major and Human Services minor at Lesley University, I believe that this trip will not only open my eyes to an unfamiliar place, values, and people, but will also provide me with the experience and the passion to continue fueling my love of learning about the world, its people and what I can do to help make this world a happier and more loving place.
As many of know, my goal is to be able to travel the world, spread my love to others, and hopefully make people smile along the way. This trip to Kenya may only be a small stepping stone to get me to my goal, but it will be a stepping stone that brings smiles to not only myself, but all the people I will meet throughout my journey in Kenya.
Places, activities, and organizations I will work with in Kenya: Nairobi, Nakuru, Mbita, and Naivasha. We will volunteer with a medical clinic, primary & secondary schools, community center, micro-enterprises, house-building program, several orphanages, and women’s projects.
Educational pieces will include visiting an Elephant Orphanage, Internally Displaced Persons Camp & Medical Center, Lake Nakuru National Park, Rhino Secondary School, Wildlife Safari, boat ride with hippos, and an Africa Yoga Project.
Therefore, I would appreciate the opportunity to attend this service trip and look to a small token of your financial support. Whether its 10, 20, 25, or even 50 dollars, any donation amount is greatly appreciated!
