Doolittle Uber Account

Here's how you can help while Dorothy is recovering from her stroke.

Some of you know that her husband, Ted, cannot drive because of his eyesight and her daughter, Dorothy, does not drive (yet!). Martha has been “chauffeur-in-chief” for most of the past 18 years, and without her the family is taking public transportation and relying on friends for rides.  Ted is a master of the bus system here, but it is difficult-to-use and takes a long time to travel that way.

So I am starting an “Uber Fund” for the family to allow them to use Uber for transportation to and from the hospital and to and from work for the next several weeks, until Dorothy can get her license.  Uber is the new, easy-to-use taxi service that about half as expensive as a taxi.  The Doolittles use it when they have to, but can’t afford it all the time.

Please consider contributing the the fund and removing a huge hassle factor for a wonderful family while Marthat recovers.  They (and I) will be most grateful!
