Bring Hands-On Science to BVUSD
Tax deductible
In Spring 2016, all students at Yulupa and Strawberry schools will participate in a unit of hands-on science lessons taught by science specialists in collaboration with classroom teachers. The lessons will be aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) , which have been recently adopted by the state of California. The standards require that students approach science creatively and as critical thinkers able to design experiments and create models.
This summer, district funds are being used to renovate classrooms at both schools that will be dedicated for art and science lessons. In keeping with its mission to support and build enrichment activities at Yulupa and Strawberry schools, the Bennett Vallet Alliance of Parents and Teachers (BVAPT) is asking for your help to get this innovative program off to a good start.
